Bluetooth ist ein herstellerunabhängiger Standard für die drahtlose Vernetzung von mobilen Geräten auf kurze Distanz (max. 100 m, in Häusern deutlich weniger).
Im Prius II wird Bluetooth verwendet, um mit kompatiblen Mobiltelefonen über die im Navigationssystem integrierte Freisprecheinrichtung zu telefonieren. Das ist auch die Technologie im Lexus RX_400h.
Ein 2005 vorgestellter neuer Bluetooth-Standard für Musik-Streaming ist A2DP.
